HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolutions-2016-077 DocuSign Envelope ID: E7584134-C105-4458-8BA6-E70C16C31 BF3 RESOLUTION NO. 2016-077 A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION OF HUNT CLUB LC, FOR FUNDING VIA THE WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM AND APPROVING A PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SAID PROJECT Whereas, Hunt Club LC, has made an application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority for funding for a housing project via the Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program; and Whereas, as part of the application process, the City Council is required to provide a resolution of support for the application; and Whereas, the City will also provide monetary support for this Project if the application is approved. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, that the City of Tiffin supports the application of Hunt Club LC, to obtain funding via the Workforce Housing Tax Program. Be it further resolved, that the City Council will approve a 10-year, 50% Property Tax Abatement for the Hunt Club LC, Project if said application is approved by the IEDA and pending the inclusion into the Urban Revitalization Area. On the 6t" day of December, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2016-077, A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION OF HUNT CLUB LC, FOR FUNDING VIA THE WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM AND APPROVING A PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SAID PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Upton. Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan, Nays: None. Absent: Kahler. Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2016-077, A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION OF HUNT CLUB LC, FOR FUNDING VIA THE WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM AND APPROVING A PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SAID PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
