PROCEEDINGS OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE

1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in a special session prior to the regular meeting
2 at 7:30 p.m. January 6, 1992 in the Council Chambers in said City. President Hutton presided with the
3 following Councilmembers present: Elstro, Lundy, Brookbank, Donat, McBride, Parker, Allen and Dickman.
4 Absent: None.The following business was had to-wit:

7 ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 1992

9 President Hutton announced that nominations would be accepted for the Offices of President and President
10 Pro-tern of the Common Council for 1992.

12 Councilmember Brookbank placed the name of Councilmember Elstro in nomination for President of the
13 Common Council. The nomination was seconded by Councilmember Lundy.

15 Councilmember Brookbank moved to close the nominations, seconded by Councilmember Lundy and on
16 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

18 Councilmember Elstro was elected as President of the Common Council by voice vote of the
19 Councilmembers with the vote being unanimous.

21 Councilmember Brookbank placed the name of Councilmember Lundy in nomination for Vice Chairman
22 (President Pro-tem)of the Common Council. The nomination was seconded by Councilmember McBride.

24 Councilmember Brookbank moved that the nominations be closed, seconded by Councilmember Elstro and
25 on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

27 In appreciation for the service rendered to Council, Past President Hutton was presented with the gavel used
28 during her term. Making the presentation was City Clerk Norma Carnes who congratulated her on a job well
29 done.

34 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed,the meeting was adjourned.
