Carried. ��- �� i a or Clerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on August 15, 1972, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen preser_t. A motion was made by Heinrich, seconded by Van Deest to accept the maintenance contract with Water Tower Paint & Repair Co. of Clear Lake, Iowa, as presented by Herbert Bonim for $727 per year for a period of 5 years with a renegotiable option. Carried. A motion was made by Fairbanks, seconded by Van Deest, to leave open the alley between First Street and Second Street between Madison Street and Monroe Street in the Town of Wellsburg. Roll call of votes: Ayes: Fairbanks, Heinrich, Van Deest Nays: None Abstaining: Hippen, Huisman Absent: None Carried. In the absence of Mayor��Eck- hoff, Lester Huisman acted as Mayor pro tem. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a mo- tion by Van Deest, seconded by Fairbanks. Carried. Fairbanks made a motion, seconded by Heinrich, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Carried. On a motion by Hippen, seconded by Fairbanks, the following bills were allowed for payment: Aeilt Terfehn, net salary $394.50 Herman DeVries, net salary $394.50 Henry J. Grobe, net salary 72.00 A. Y. Ross for damages to establish a correction of grade on the Ross residential property. Carried. A motion was made by Hippen, seconded by Van Deest, to accept the proposal submitted by Herman DeVries, town employee, to work from October 1, 1972, through December 31, 1972, for the town at a monthly rate of �140.00. Carried. On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich, the meeting was adjourned.
