A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, APPROVING A
DONATION OF $2,316 TO THE KEY BISCAYNE
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, INC. (KBCF) FOR VILLAGE
VOLLEYBALL PROGRAMS; PROVIDING FOR
AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Key Biscayne Athletic Club, Inc. (KBAC) recently discontinued its
operations and provided the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") with previously raised funds
in the amount of $2,316 to be used for Village volleyball programs; and
WHEREAS, sports programs within the Village have created new fundraising accounts with
the Key Biscayne Community Foundation, Inc. (KBCF), a Florida Non Profit Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to donate the $2,316 received from the KBAC to
the KBCF to be used for Village volleyball programs; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare
of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. Each of the above stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Donation Approved. The Village Council hereby approves a donation of
$2,316 to the KBCF for Village volleyball programs.
Section 3. Village Manager Authorized. The Village Manager is hereby authorized
to take any and all steps necessary to implement the intent and purpose of this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
