AUTHORIZING THE REJECTION OF BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
- - RE- BIDDING THE fMILIK STREET SEWER PROJECT
CLEANING & TV INSPECTION OF EXISTING STORM SEWERS
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, (the "Borough ") has previously solicited and
received bids for the Milik Street Sewer Project Cleaning & TV Inspection of Existing
Storm Sewers on April 2, 2015; and
WHEREAS, upon a review of said bid submittals for the said project, the Director of
Engineering has determined that all of the submittals substantially exceed his estimate for
said work; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that all of the bid submittals
received for the Milik Street Sewer Project Cleaning & TV Inspection of Existing Storm
Sewers are hereby rejected, and the return of all of the bidders' bid bonds are hereby
directed, along with a notification of the rejection of all bids.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Engineering and Purchasing Agent
are hereby authorized to solicit new bid submittals for the project in accordance with the
Engineer's direction of the bid specifications for the same.
Adopted this 14 day of May, 2015
and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 15, 2015.
