April Notes from the Director
Thank you Volunteers! April is National Volunteer Recognition Month and on April 25th, the Board, Staff and Friends of
the Council on Aging will be hosting a Volunteer Celebration in honor of our volunteers who provide service to the
Senior Center and to the Watertown Food Pantry. We are grateful to all of our volunteers who dedicate their time to
helping others.
This month, Attorney Dale Tamburro will be offering two Estate Planning presentations, and we look forward to our
public safety mornings: Hot! Coffee with Captain Ryan Nicholson of the Fire Department and Coffee with Police Chief
Lawn and Friends. This month's Lunch and Learn on the 20th will feature Travels with Tom Lewis, a photography
montage of his trip to India. Don't miss this lunch and beautiful presentation.
Our Knitting Group is in search of new knitters who can help to knit items for American service men and women
overseas. They will be meeting on April 19th at 12:30 for tea and to share new, simple patterns. Donations of yam
are always welcome too.
Finally, for those of you who are Spring cleaning, we are seeking donations of items in good condition for our Senior
Center Yard Sale on Saturday, May 6. We hope to see at you at this fun, community event that supports
programs at the Senior Center.

are allowed to make an appeal.
You can request a coverage
determination called an "exception" if you
think your plan should cover a drug that's
not on its formulary because the other
treatment options on your plan's
formulary won't work for you OR if your
doctor believes you can't meet one of
your plan's coverage rules, like prior
authorization, step therapy, or quantity or
