C�arried. Mayor Clerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on September 9, 1974, with Mayor Hippen presiding and all councilmen present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich. Carried. The following bills were allowed for approval on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Penning: Henry J. Carried. A Beer & Liquor License for Amvet Post #91 and the renewal of the -Beer & Liquor License for The Pub was approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Fairbanks. Roll call of votes-- Ayes:Huisman, Heinrich, Fairbanks, Penning Van Deest Nays:None Absent :None Carried. 253 The resignation of Rick Penning from the council was unanimously accepted by the council. The mayor appointed and swore in Rick Penning as a policeman and street maintenance employee for the town. The council fixed his salary at $600 per month for the balance of the year 1974. His salary is to advance to �650 per month on January 1, 1975• The application of Aeilt Terfehn for police patrol duty between the hours of 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. was accepted by the mayor. Mayor Hippen then appointed and swore in Terfehn for police patrol work. The council fixed his salary for the balance of 1974 at a total of $500. The meeting stood adjourned on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Fairbanks. Carried. `�� `� j ayor lerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in re�%lar'session on October 7, 1974, with Mayor Hippen presiding and Councilmen Huisman, Heinrich, Fairbanks and Van Deest Present. The council appointed Kenneth Cordes as councilman to fill the un- expired term left vacated by the resignation of Rick Penning from the council. Mayor Hippen then administered the oath of office to Cordes. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Fairbanks. Carried.
