THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, JANUARY 4, 1988
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in special session January 4, 1988 at the hour of
2 7:25 P.M. in the Council Chambers in said City. President Brookbank presided with the following
111 3 Councilmembers present: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, McBride, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Paust. Absent:
4 None. The following business was had to-wit:

6 ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 1988

8 President Brookbank announced that nominations would be accepted for the Offices of President and
9 President Pro-tern of the Common Council for 1988.

11 Councilmember Hutton placed the name of Councilmember Morris in nomination for President of the Common
12 Council. The nomination was seconded by Councilmember Williams and on unanimous voice vote the motion
13 was carried.

15 Councilmember Paust moved to close the nominations, seconded by Councilmember Elstro and on
16 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

18 Councilmember Morris will serve as President of the Common Council for 1988.

20 Councilmember Morris placed the name of Councilmember Hutton in nomination for President Pro-tern of the
21 Common Council, seconded by Councilmember Williams and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
22 carried.

24 Councilmember Williams moved that the nominations be closed, seconded by Councilmember Paust and on
25 unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

27 Councilmember Hutton will serve as President Pro-tem of the Common Council for 1988.

31 There being no further business,on a motion duly made, seconded and passed,the meeting was adjourned.
