It's that time again! Medicare Open Enrollment continues until December 7th and our SHINE counselor is taking
appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to discuss changes that can be made to your prescription drug plan or
insurance. This is a free service. On November 2nd we welcome back the Mount Ida Dental Hygiene Program for Dental
Hygiene Trivia and to offer oral screenings. Our November fitness offerings now include separate mat and chair
yoga classes. If you are crafty, make sure to mark your calendars for our Craft Day on the 28th.
We offer many services including help with fuel assistance and SNAP applications, emergency assistance requests,
information about the Watertown Food Pantry, and taxi rides to medical appointments locally and to Boston. For rides to
medical appointments in Boston, Watertown seniors are asked to call the Senior Center 3 days in advance
to arrange the service. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 for this service. If you need a ride to a local
medical appointment, please call us too. If you need to go grocery shopping or to the mall, consider riding
our Senior Shuttle Bus for a $1.00 round trip. Call us for details about these and many more services
available to seniors. We are here to help. +

Ove by Fredrik Backman. Copies of X
the book are available at the Water- '

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon, the R ,
kind of man who points at people he 'n
dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside
his bedroom window. He has staunch princi-
ples, strict routines, and a short fuse. People
call him the bitter neighbor from hell, b u t
must Ove be bitter just because he doesn't
walk around with a smile plastered to his face?
Behind the cranky exterior there is a story and
a sadness. So when one November morning a
chatty young couple with two chatty young
daughters move in next door a comical and
heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unex-
pected friendship, and the ancient art of back-
ing up a U-Haul. All of which will change one
cranky old man and a local residents' associa-
tion to their very foundations.
New members are always welcome!
