PROCEEDINGS OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 18, 1986
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session
2 with Economic Development Director, William McDermott, on August 18, 1986
3 at 6:30 P.M. in the Municipal Building in said City. The following Council-
4 members were present: Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, Hankinson, Whitesell,
5 Hutton and Morris . Absent: Parker. The following business was had to-wit:

7 William McDermott, Economic Development Director, informed the Council that
8 he had no prepared presentation, but would rather answer questions from
9 the Council regarding any activities of the office.

11 Mr. McDermott reponded to questions from the Council regarding the Excellence
12 in Education Program and the effect the schools and quality of education
13 have on economic development and if an amusement park was possibly locating
14 •on the American Aggregates Property.

16 The Council also commented that they would appreciate having Mr. McDermott's
17 business cards in case they might need them.

19 Mr. McDermott stated that he would have more presentation at the next
20 meeting with Council since there had been such a short period of time since
21 the last meeting and he had been out of town.

23 ADJOURNMENT'

25 There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned by a consensus
26 of the members present.
