PROCEEDINGS OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICH , INDIANA, JANUARY 6, 1986
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session
2 on January 6, 1986 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of election
3 of officers for 1986. President Williams opened the mooting with the
4 following members present: Councilmembers Elstro, Brookbank, Hankinson,
5 Whitesell, Parker, Bodiker, Lemoine and Morris. The following business
6 was had to-wit:-

10 President Williams announced that he would accept nominations for the Office
11 of President of the Common Council for 1986. Councilmember Elstro
12 nominated Councilmember Bodiker for president of the Common Council for
• 13 1986. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Whitesell.

15 Councilmember Hankinson moved to close the nominations, seconded by Council-
16 member Parker and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

18 Councilmember Hankinson moved to accept Councilmember Bodiker as President
19 of the Common Council by acclamation of the Council, seconded by
20 Councilmember Whitesell and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

22 President Bodiker assumed the President's chair and presented an engraved
23 gavel to Councilmember Williams in appreciation of his service to the City
24 as President of the Cannon Council for 1985.

28 President Bodiker announced he would accept nominations for President Pro
29 Tem of the Common Council for 1986. Councilmember Morris placed the name
30 of Councilmember Brookbank in nomination. Councilmember Lemoine seconded
31 the nomination. •

33 Councilmember Williams moved that,the nominations be closed, seconded by
34 Councilmember Morris and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

36 Councilmember Hankinson moved to accept Councilmember Brookbank as President
37 Pro Tem of the Common Council for 1986 by acclamation of the Common Council
38 for 1986, seconded by Councilmember Whitesell and on unanimous voice vote
39 the motion was carried.

43 President Bodiker declared the special meeting of the Common Council
44 adjourned by unanimous consent of the Council.
