PROCEEDINGS OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 7, 1985
1 The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special
2 session January 7, 1985 at the hour of 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers
3 in said City for the purpose of electing officers for 1985. President
4 Elstro presided with the following members present: Williams, Brookbank,
5 Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Bodiker, Lemoine and Morris . Absent:
6 None. The following business was had to-wit':

10 President Elstro announced he would entertain nominations for the Office
11 of President of the Common Council for 1985. Councilperson Bodiker
12 nominated Councilperson Marion Williams for President of the Common
13 Council. The nomination was seconded by Councilperson Whitesell. Hearing
14 no other nominations, the nominations were closed.

16 By a unanimous voice vote Councilperson Williams was elected President
17 of the Common Council for 1985.

19 ELECTION OF PRESIDENT PRO-TEM

21 President Elstro opened the floor for nominations for the office of
22 President Pro-Tem of the Common Council. Councilperson Brookbank nominated
23 Councilperson Joan Lemoine for President Pro-Tem of the Common Council.
24 The nomination was seconded by Councilperson Morris. Councilperson
25 Morris moved to close the nominations, seconded by Councilperson Whitesell
26 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

28 Councilperson Lemoine was elected President Pro-Tem of the Common Council
29 for 1985 on a unanimous voice vote.

31 ADJOURNMENT

33 There being no further busines, on a motion duly made, seconded and
34 passed the meeting was adjourned.
