7/2 MASH - Director Robert
Altman's thinly veiled
M* *s*iq Vietnam War satire is
indicative of when
the spirit of the
1970s went main-
stream, with Elliot
Gould, Donald
Sutherland and Tom
Skerritt as Army doctors fighting
military insanity and healing
wounded soldiers during the
Korean War. Featuring an Oscar -
winning score and standout work
from a huge ensemble cast
(including Robert Duvall and
Sally Kellerman), M*A*S*H is a
masterpiece of 70s cinema.

ents preoccupied
with their divorce,

crusty curmudgeon --,;
and discovers some
facts of life. But the
deeper story is that
family is really the friends you
choose and the wide cast of mis-
fits are brought together by a
mix of circumstances and events.
Vincent finds his life changed by
the boy's presence. Cast: Bill

Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish
refugee, takes on the Austrian
government to recover artwork
confiscated by the Nazis -- in-
cluding a famed Gustav Klimt
masterpiece she
believes rightfully
belongs to her family.
She did so not just to ."-
regain what was
rightfully hers, but
also to obtain some
measure of justice for the death,
destruction, and massive art
theft perpetrated by the Nazis.

island with nothing but a painted
volleyball -- a silent partner he
names Wilson -- for company. An
acting tour de force for Hanks
(who received a Golden Globe
Award for his performance), this

about the indomitability of the
human spirit. Cast: Tom Hanks,

HOW DO I PLAN FOR RISING HEALTH CARE
The good news is that on average Americans are
living longer, fuller, more vital lives than ever before
thanks to healthier lifestyles and better medical
care. Unfortunately, longevity also means higher
Ahealth care spending for most people. In consider -
1 ing how health care costs might impact your retire-
ment plan, this seminar will discuss vital questions
you need to ask yourselves like: (1) How much
funding will I need for health care during my senior
years? (2)Will Medicare cover all my health care
needs? (3)What about private insurance? (4)
What is long-term care insurance? This lecture is
by a representative from Morgan Stanley.

Medicare Appeals
If you have Medicare, you have the right to appeal decisions you disagree with. All steps in
the appeal process have specific time frames and other requirements. It is very important to
pay attention to the time limits for appeals!
Some appealable situations are:
Medicare denies your request for a health care service, supply, or prescription
Medicare denies payment for health care that you have already received
Medicare stops covering services that you are receiving
Medicare pays a different amount than you believe it should
Medicare drug plan denies coverage of your medication
For assistance with appeals, the Medicare Advocacy Project (MAP) provides free advice and
legal representation. MAP can assist anyone with Original Medicare or a Medicare Ad-
vantage Plan, regardless of income. For assistance from MAP, call the Massachusetts Senior
Legal Helpline at 866-778-0939. For assistance with understanding and accessing your Med-
icare benefits, you can call your senior center and ask for a SHINE appointment. Trained
SHINE volunteers offer free, confidential counseling on all aspects of health insurance to an-
yone on Medicare. You can reach a SHINE counselor by telephone. Call 1-800-AGE-INFO
(1-800-243-4636), then press or say 3. Once you get the SHINE answering machine, leave
your name and number. A volunteer counselor will call you back, as soon as possible.
