Two Health Living Programs are being offered at the Senior Center this Summer:
The ancient discipline of Tai Chi combines agile steps, joint safe exercise and mental strength to improve mobility,
breathing, and relaxation in ways that help you feel greater control over your daily life. It's a joint safe way for people of
all ages to enjoy life and meet new friends, while taking control of your physical, emotional and mental health. Classes
meet for one hour twice a week for eight weeks.
WHEN: 12:30 - 1:30 Tuesday & Thursday from June 10 through July 31 Healthy Living workshops
are offered free of charge to
seniors who would like to im-
prove their health and well-
being through Springwell.
Is living with the stress of caregiving preventing you from really living? In the six weekly classes, adults facing the
unique challenges of being a caregiver will develop a wealth of self -care tools to reduce personal stress, change nega-
tive self -talk, communicate their needs to family members and healthcare or service providers, communicate more ef-
fectively in challenging situations, recognize the messages in their emotions, deal with difficult feelings, and make tough
caregiving decisions. Learn to thrive and not just survive while caring for a family member or friend!
WHEN: 6 Wednesdays from 10:00-12:00 from July 9 through August 13
Don't let the lack of transportation or a caretaker for your loved one keep you from signing up. Funds are
available thanks to the Tufts Foundation. Call the Senior Center at 616-972-6490 for more info & to sign up.
