Aueust Movie Matinee
Relax and enjoy a movie in our comfortable lounge Thursday afternoons
at 1:00 p. m.
8/7 - RED 2 Frank (Bruce Willis),
Sarah (Mary -Louise Parker) and
Marvin (John Malkovich) fight an
unrelenting on-
slaught of hired...
killers, heavily -
armed terrorists,
and powerful gov-
ernment officials in
their desperate
race to prevent a
missing portable
nuclear device from
falling into the wrong hands. Sir
Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren,
Lee Byung-hun, and Catherine
Zeta Jones co-star. (2013) PG 13,
116 min.
8/14 - GAMBIT Colin Firth and
Cameron Diaz headline this re-
make of the 1966 crime caper di-
rected by Michael Hoffman (The
Last Station) and written by Joel
and Ethan Coen. A British thief
(Firth) discovers
that no plan is in-
fallible when he
SIT recruits a beautiful
"- woman (Diaz) to
help him steal a
priceless statue
from an impossibly
wealthy widower
(Alan Rickman).
Despite the fact that his pretty ac-
complice bears an uncanny re-
semblance to his affluent target's
late wife, things quickly spin out of
control once the job gets under
way. (2013) PG 13, 89 min.
8/21 -THE FIFTH ESTATE Bill
Condon's thriller The Fifth Estate
charts the creation of WikiLeaks by
the ambitious and arguably ethically
dubious... Julian Assange, played
by Benedict Cumberbatch. The
movie opens with Assange hiring
Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Daniel
Bruhl), a fellow tech whiz, to help
him keep his new website opera-
tional. The site gave whistleblowers
an entirely anonymous platform to
share classified documents, and
soon the pair find themselves in
possession of information that will
-qq bring down a cor-
rupt bank. As
z their power and
 influence grows,
W b,,.& —.they must consid-
er teaming with
established me-
dia sources, es-
pecially when
they are sent doc-
uments that would reveal ultra -
sensitive state secrets from some
of the world's most -powerful gov-
ernments. (2014) R, 128 min.
8/28 - NOW YOU SEE ME A team
of talented illusionists called "The
Four Horsemen" (played by Jesse
Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla
Fisher, and Dave Franco) are in-
vestigated by a res-
olute FBI agent
(Mark Ruffalo) fol-
lowing a series of
ask brazen heists that
►` leave their audienc-
-9' es swimming in
cash while draining
' the bulging bank
accounts of unscru-
pulous business leaders. Morgan
--
Freeman, Michael Caine, and Me-
lanie Laurent co-star in this sleight-
of-hand thriller directed by Clash of
the Titans' Louis Leterrier. (2013)
PG 13, 116 min.
9/4 - THE WAY, WAY BACK An
-,.awkward yet intelli
gent young boy
begins to make his
transition into
adulthood over the
course of one
transformative
summer in this bit-
tersweet coming of
age comedy drama. Sensing that
he's drifting away from his mother
Pam during a summer vacation
with her, her domineering boy-
friend Trent, and Trent's daughter
Steph, 14 year old Duncan gets a
job at a water park, and gains
some much -needed self-
confidence under the guidance of
happy-go-lucky water park employ-
ee Owen, who approaches life
from a fresh new perspective. Ste-
ve Carrell, Toni Collette, Allison
Janney, and Sam Rockwell star.
