PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A BOARD
OF FINANCE FOR THE CITY, FEBRUARY 19, 1979

The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Board of
2 Finance, met in special session February 19, 1979 at the hour of 6:55 p.m. in
3 the Municipal Building of said City. President Faust presided with the
4 following members present: Messrs. Elstro, Williams, Merchanthouse, Mills,Carter,
5 Paust and Welch. Absent: Austerman. The following business was had, to-
6 wit:

8 President Paust announced the purpose of this meeting is to elect a
9 President for the Board of Finance.

11 Councilman Mills nominated Jim Carter for President of the Board of Finance,
12 seconded by Councilman Ahaus and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was
13 carried.

15 President Carter submitted a recommendation from Mr. Don Meredith, Secretary
16 of the Board of Finance, based on proposals received from First and Second
17 National Banks of Richmond, the following action:

19 A. City Clerk - deposit at First National Bank
20 B. Richmond Housing Authority - deposit Second National Sank
21 C. City of Richmond - deposit 35% of all monies on hand at
22 the First National Bank, and 65% of the monies on hand at
23 the Second National Bank.

25 Councilman Faust moved to accept the recommendation, seconded by Councilman
26 Mills and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried.

28 Councilman Faust moved for adjournment, seconded by Councilman Mills and
29 on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried.
