EMS personnel:
There was a multi vehicle accident with a confirmed fatality. This accident
involved a Richmond ambulance with extensive damage. (a pickup truck, a two
door mustang, another pick-up truck, an ambulance, an SUV and a Semi trailer
truck). On my arrival I was unable to locate the crew from the Richmond
Ambulance. I was later told that they were out of their vehicle rendering aid to
the injured Paramedic Little stated that on his arrival they asked if they could
provide any assistance to him. He gladly took them up on their offer and they
assisted in triaging and loading a critically injured patient into his ambulance.
The two individuals on the Richmond Ambulance, though they themselves were
involved in a traumatic accident, went above and beyond by triaging and
assisting our arriving crews. They should be commended for their actions. They
helped make an extremely chaotic event run more smoothly by their skill and
professionalism.
