AWARDING BID FOR MUNICIPAL BUILDING
GENERATOR INSTALLATION
WMREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the
Municipal Building Generator Installation Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received two (2) bid proposals for the
Municipal Building Generator Installation Project as follows:
Total Base Bid
1. Manor B Electric, hro. $ 118.82105
2. Fai -Gon Electric, fire. $ 198.550 00
WHEREAS, Manor II Electric, Inc. has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced
by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to Manor B Electric, Inc., in a total amount not to exceed $118,823.05, per
attached award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that finds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Manor B Electric, hic., of Holmdel, N.J. for the Project for the
sum of $118,823.05 in accordance in all respects with the request for
proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Depmtmznt and Borough Engineer,
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval
from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour
Compliance.
