HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-11-2002 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JULY 11,2002 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.Thursday, July 11, 2002, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Bruce Metzger, Robin Henry and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe in attendance. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES Metzger made a motion to approve the minutes of July 3, 2002, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT There were no claims for payment. BIB OPENING A. The following bids were opened for HVAC for Fire Station#5: Dick Hill &Son, $18,393; Lowman Metal Shop, Eaton, Ohio $22,427; Meyers Mechanical Corp., $25,203; Hill Bros. Plumbing & Heating, $23,023. These bids will reviewed and awarded at a later date. AGREEMENTS A. Goodwin explained that the agreement with Marathon Fuel is for City trucks to have access to pick up fuel and black top. Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. B. Henry said that the long term disability with National Insurance Services is ready for renewal on July 1, 2002 and the City will be keeping the same rates it had last year and there are no other changes. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. INTRODUCTION OF STUDENTS Students were introduced from Richmond High School. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
