THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,JANUARY 17, 2002
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.Thursday, January
17, 2002, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with
Robin Henry and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. Bruce Metzger was absent. The following
business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Henry moved to approve the minutes of January 10, 2002, second by Goodwin and the motion was
carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Henry presented claims for payment from the Finance Department in the amount of$916,564.11 and
moved for approval, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. Goodwin read a letter from Captain Don Ponder of the Traffic Division of the Richmond
Police Department, recommending the approval for C & R Builders to close the sidewalk
by Opti Vision at 9th and East Main Streets. The request is to close the portion of the
sidewalk on North 9th on Monday, January 21st and Tuesday, January 22nd and on East
Main on Wednesday, January 23rd and Thursday, January 24th. All times would be from
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Henry moved to approve, second by Goodwin and the motion was
carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice
vote, the meeting was adjourned.
