THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,JANUARY 3,2002
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday, January
3, 2002, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with
Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The following business
was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
No minutes were available.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Henry presented two sets of claims for payment from the Finance Department in the amount of
$39,154.59 and $78,629.91 and moved for approval, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a
voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. City Engineer Bob Wiwi requested to accept a new street between Northwest"T"and
Northwest"L"Streets. He said we also have a letter of credit from Wayne Bank and Trust
in the amount of$5,000. Metzger moved to approve, subject to review by Rabe, second
by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
B. Wiwi requested the acceptance of 170 lineal feet of South 16th Street. Henry moved to
approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CHANGE ORDER
A. Wiwi requested approval of change order#1 on the new entrance off Industries Road.
The change would reduce the total by$15,260.64 and make the new total $29,931.36.
Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CONTRACT
A. Wiwi requested approval of a Timber Marking agreement with Indiana Division of
Forestry and the City of Richmond. The agreement would allow the division to mark all
trees that were marketable for future sale. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger
and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
BID AWARD
A. Goodwin read a letter from Purchasing Director Vicki Stevens recommending that All
Pest Exterminating be awarded the Pest control service for the City of Richmond in the
amount of$5,443.40 for two years. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the
motion was carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice
vote, the meeting was adjourned.
