THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 21,2001
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.Wednesday,
November 21, 2001, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin
presided with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The
following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes for November 15, 2001 were approved on a motion by Henry, second by Metzger and the
motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
There were no claims for payment.
BID OPENING
A. The following bids were opened for heaters for the Street Department; Bader Mechanical
$4,598; Dick Hill & Son, $2,656. The bids were given to Gordon Moore, the new Street
Commissioner,for review and will be awarded later this evening.
BID AWARD
A. Goodwin requested that Beals Surveying Corporation be awarded the bid for the old
Street Department garage in the amount of$1,500. Metzger moved to approve, second
by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
BID OPENING
A. The following bids were opened for gasoline and fuel for the City: Harvest Land Co-op of
Richmond, numerous bids and Warfield Oil Company, numerous bids. These will be
taken under advisement and awarded at a later date.
BID AWARD
A. Moore requested the board approve the bid made by Dick Hill &Son, for the heaters for
the Street Department in the amount of$2,656. Henry moved to approve, second by
Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice
vote, the meeting was adjourned.
