HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-15-2001 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 15,2001 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2001, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes for November 8, 2001 were approved on a motion by Metzger, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Metzger presented claims for payment from the Finance Department in the amount of$91,159.90 and moved for approval, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CONTRACT A. Misty Hollis of Community Development requested approval of Contract#111-2001 regarding housing needs assessment with the Bonar Group and the City of Richmond. Metzger moved to approve, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. B. City Engineer Bob Wiwi, requested approval of a Geotechnical Investigation on Lots Two and Three in Midwest Industrial Park with Patriot Engineering and Environmental Co. in the amount of$4,100.00. Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. C. Wiwi requested approval for change order#1 for additional monitoring wells for Fire Station#4. The agreement is with Dennistar Environmental and the City of Richmond, not to exceed $15,000. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CHANGE ORDERS A. Wiwi requested approval for change order#2 for removal of ceiling asbestos for the Street Department. The contract amount is for$43,386.00 and will be increased by $1,322.50 with a new total of$44,708.50. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger, and the motion was carried on a voice vote. B. Wiwi requested approval of change order#2 for the connecting street with Winding Ridge and Industries Road. The change order will be increased by$10,291.05 and the new total is $159,076.05. Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Board of Works, Cont'd. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
