THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 8, 2001
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.Thursday,
November 8, 2001, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin
presided with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The
following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes for October 4, 11, 25, and November 1, 2001 were approved on a motion by Metzger,
second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Henry presented claims for payment from the Finance Department in the amount of$265,580.17 and
moved for approval, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CONTRACT
A. Fire Chief Mike Allen requested approval of Contract#112-2001 for Schroeder Plumbing
and Electrical Contractor for the installation of a new water cooler in the amount of
$885.00. Henry moved for approval, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a
voice vote.
BID AWARD
A. Debbie Lanman of the Street Department requested that the bid for the 2001 Tree
Planting Contract be awarded to A. Brown and Sons Nursery in the amount of$11,835.
Metzger mover to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
LANDLORD WAIVER AGREEMENT
A. Rabe explained that Elder-Beerman is remodeling and has requested that the City sign a
waiver on any leans on new equipment being installed and recommended approval.
Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice
vote, the meeting was adjourned.
