THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 30, 2001
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.
Thursday, August 30, 2001, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Vice
Chairperson Robin Henry presided with Bruce Metzger and Assistant City Attorney
Steve Rabe present. Bob Goodwin was absent. The following business was
conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Metzger made a motion to approve the minutes for the August 23, 2001 meeting,
second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Metzger presented claims from the Finance Department in the amount of$187,300.39
and moved for approval, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. Henry read a letter from Louis F. Dow requesting the closing of Elm Place
on September 1, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. for a 'Welcome Back
Extravaganza". Metzger asked if they should consider a noise variance
because of the times requested and so moved, second by Henry and the
motion was carried on a voice vote.
CHANGE ORDER
A. City Engineer Bob Wiwi requested change order#1 for the Street
Department ceiling. The amount added is $6,555.00, the amount
deducted is $1,113.00 with the new total being $43,386.00. Metzger
moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a
voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and
carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
