AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF
STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 30
OF THE TOWN CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO TRAFFIC AND
VEHICLES, CREATING A NEW SECTION 30 -3, ENTITLED TRAFFIC
ENFORCEMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF
STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Town Code of Ordinances is hereby amended at
Chapter 30, relating to Traffic and Vehicles, Creating a new Section 30-
3, as follows; (words underlined are additions; words strieken are
Deletions):
Sec. 30 -3. Traffic Enforcement.
The Chief of Police shall have jurisdiction
over all streets within the boundaries of the
Town of Gulf Stream and shall place and
maintain such traffic control devices deemed
necessary to insure the safe, unobstructed
flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Such jurisdiction shall be exercised in
conformity to the State Department of
Transportation guidelines and all applicable
provisions of the Florida Traffic Statutes
and shall include but not be limited to the
following:
1. Location of street directional si na
2. Designation of No Parking Zones.
3. Designation of one -way roadways.
4. Enforcement of these and all other
provisions outlined in Florida Statutes,
Chapter 316.
Section 2. Severability.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof is
held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the
invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of
this Ordinance is hereby declared sever able.
Section 3. Repeal of Ordinances in Conflict.
All other ordinances of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, or parts
thereof which conflict with this or any part of this Ordinance is hereby
repealed.

Section 4. Codification.
This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the official
Code of Ordinances of the Town of Gulf Stream.
Section 5. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
approval, as provided by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in a regular, adjourned session on first
reading this 6 day of April , 2001, and for a second and final
reading on this 11 day of May , 2001.
