WORKSHOP MINUTES mLLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD June 26, 2003 7:30 PM at the Central Orange Senior Center in the Meadowlands Complex The Hillsborough Town Board held a Retirement Center Workshop on June 26, 2003 at 7:30 PM Hillsborough Central Orange Senior Center in the Meadowlands Complex. Present for the Workshop were Commissioners Mike Gering, Mark Sheridan, Frances Dancy, Evelyn Lloyd, and Commissioner Kenneth Chavious. Absent from the meeting was Mayor Joe Phelps. Staff present were Planning Director Margaret Hauth, Town Clerk Donna Armbrister, Assistant Town Manager/Public Works Director Demetric Potts, and Finance Director Sherry Carter. Town of Hill~ Mayor Protem Evelyn Lloyd called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. 1. PUBLIC CHARGE The Public Charge was not read but it was stated that it would be adhered to. 2. CONSIDERATION OF FY03 BUDGET AMENDMENTS AND ENCUMBRANCES Attachment 2 . Finance Director Sherry Carter presented for the Board's consideration, the June 2003 Budget Amendments, the Encumbrances from 2002-2003 to 2003-2004, and Additional Encumbrances for Purchase Orders issued prior to June 30, 2003. Upon a motion by Commissioner Dancy, seconded by Commissioner Chavious, the Board moved to approve June 2003 Budget Amendments as presented by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed. A copy of the Budget Amendments are hereby made a part of these official Minutes as an Attachment. Upon a motion by Commissioner Dancy, seconded by Commissioner Chavious, the Board moved to approve the Encumbrances from 2002-2003 to 2003-2004 and Additional Encumbrances for Purchase Orders issued prior to June 30, 2003 as presented by a vote of 5-0. DISCUSSION REGARDING RETIREMENT CENTERS The Town Board and the Retirement Center Roundtable Participants continued discussion regarding the types of future retirement center development they deemed appropriate for Hillsborough. 4. ADJOURN Upon a motion by Commissioner Dancy, seconded by Commissioner Chavious, the Board moved ~~proximatelY 9:30 PM by a vote of 5-0. The motion was declared passed. .
