CLERK'S ACTION SUMMARY MINUTES
PRIORITY SETTING WORKSHOP
Monday, May 17, 2021
5:30 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Matthew Pigatt called the Workshop to order at 5:30 PM on Monday, May 17,
2021 at Sherbondy Village, 215 Perviz Avenue, Opa-locka, Florida.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Pigatt stated that the workshop was scheduled to continue
the Commission's conversation that they had a few weeks ago, about setting their
priorities. The Mayor said that they were made aware that their colleagues would not be
able to join him and Vice Mayor Williams for the Workshop, so he asked the Vice Mayor
if they should schedule it for another date.
Vice Mayor Williams stated that she would prefer to postpone the Workshop.
Mayor Pigatt asked City Attorney Norris -Weeks if the Commission must do anything
besides asking the City Clerk to poll the Commission for a rescheduled date.
City Attorney Norris -Weeks stated that there is nothing more the Commission would
need to do.
Mayor Pigatt asked the City Clerk to poll the Commission to set another date and
continue the conversation at a better time. The Mayor thanked everyone.
2. ROLL CALL:
The following members of the City Commission were present: Vice Mayor Veronica J.
Williams and Mayor Matthew A. Pigatt. Also in attendance were City Attorney
Burnadette Norris -Weeks and Legislative Aide to the Mayor/Commission Randy Grice.

2021 Priority Setting Workshop
8. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the City Commission, it was moved by
Vice Mayor Williams, seconded by Mayor Pigatt to adjourn the meeting at 5:36 p.m.
Please note: The May 17, 2021 City Commission Priorities Workshop was postponed to
a date to be determined by the City Clerk based on Commission availability.
