AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2008, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $820,600.00 TO DEFRAY
EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF IONA FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING
A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY AND SPECIFYING THE
OBJECTS AND PURPOSE FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATION IS MADE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Iona, Bonneville County, Idaho.
Section 1: That the sum of $820,600.00 be, and the same is appropriated to defray the necessary expenses
and liabilities of the City of Iona, Bonneville County, Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.
Section 2: The objects and purposes for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object
and purpose is as follows:

GENERAL FUND AND STREETS:
General Administration $413,600.00
Equipment Replacement $ 80,000.00
WATER FUND:
Administration $314,000.00
RECREATION:
Administration $ 13,000.00
TOTAL EXPENSES: $820,600.00
Section 3: That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of Iona be levied in an amount
allowed by law for the general purposes for the said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.
Section 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, execution and
publication in the manner required by law.

PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009
CITY OF IONA, IDAHO
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Iona, Idaho will hold a public hearing
for consideration of the proposed budget for the fiscal period October 1, 2008- September 30,
2009 pursuant to the provisions of Section 50-1002, IC., said hearing to be held at the Iona
Community Center 3548 North Main Street, Iona, Idaho at 6:45 p.m., on August 19, 2008. At
said hearing all interested persons may appear and show cause, if any they have, why said
proposed budget should not be adopted. The proposed FY 08-09 budget is shown below as FY
08-09 proposed expenditures and revenues.

City of Iona Ordinance 136=10 08
An ordinance repealing and= "reenacting section 8=2-36'of-the 'City Code of -Iona, Idaho relating to water `__
rate fees; the following monthly rates are hereby established for water service supplied by the City.
Single-family dwelling, apartment unit -per unit, and restaurants, $23.00 per dwelling; churches,
$160.00; schools, $600.00; daycare centers and grocery/convenience stores, $40.00; all other non
metered customers per premises or building with -in City limits $2300, outside City limits, $34.50.
Effective July 1`2008.
City of Iona Ordinance 137-11-08
An ordinance vacating a portion of Rainbow Lane, a public street located across the frontage of Lot 4,
Block 5, according to the original plat of the Village of Iona, Bonneville County, Idaho, is not used or
needed for public purposes; the vacated, property is conveyed back to the property owner. Effective July,
15, 2008.
City of Iona Ordinance 138-12-08
An ordinance amending sections 11-3-7,11-4-9 and 11-5-8 of the zoning ordinance reducing the
required side and rear setbacks for accessory buildings to 5 feet in R-A, R-1 and R-2 zones. Effective
