HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 00:14 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 160, LAND DEVELOPMENT
OF THE BOROUGH CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET.
BE, IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret that
Chapter 160, section 160-4 "Required permits and approvals" be amended as
follows:
1. Section 160-4C. (1) Delete the words "Building Inspector"
wherever it appears and replace it with "Construction Code Official".
2. Section 160-4 C (2) Delete the words "Building Inspector"
wherever they appear and replace them with words "Construction Code
Official".
3. Section 160-4 C (3) Delete the words "Building inspector" and
replace them with words "Construction Code Official".
4. Section 160-4 C (4) Delete the current language in its entirety
and replace it with the following:
"A fee of $50. Shall be paid to the Building Inspection Office for
R-3 Use groups (one and two family dwellings). This fee covers an initial
inspection and one (1) follow up inspection if necessary. If additional
inspection are required because of non-compliance or no show, an additional
$25.00 will be charged to the applicant for each additional inspection. Said
additional fee shall be paid in advance after inspection payable in advance. All
other dwellings and commercial buildings shall pay a fee of $150.00.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall be forwarded to the
Carteret Planning Board and the Middlesex County Planning Board for their
review and comment.
