AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY CODE OF IONA, IDAHO,
AMENDING SECTIONS 11-3-7, 11-4-9 AND 11-5-8 OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE; REDUCING THE REQUIRED
SETBACKS IN THE R-A, R-1 AND R-2 ZONES; PROVIDING
FOR METHODOLOGY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PRESERVING ENFORCEABILITY OF PRIOR ORDINANCE
AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA,
IDAHO, THAT:
Section 1. Amendment of Section 11-3-7 of Iona City Code. Section 11-3-7
of the Iona City Code is hereby amended as follows:
11-3-7: ACCESSORY USES: Accessory uses shall be limited to one (1) story in
height and shall not encroach upon the front yard setback or closer to the street than
the front face setback line. No accessory building shall be built within terrfive (+05) feet
of the side or rear property line.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 11-4-9 of Iona City Code. Section 11-4-9
of the Iona City Code is hereby amended as follows:
11-4-9: ACCESSORY USES: Accessory uses shall be limited to one (1) story in
height and shall not encroach upon the front yard setback or closer to the street than
the front face setback line. No accessory building shall be built within tenfive (+05) feet
of the side or rear property line.
Section 3. Amendment of Section 11-5-8 of Iona City Code. Section 11-5-8
of the Iona City Code is hereby amended as follows:
11-5-8: ACCESSORY USES: Accessory uses shall be limited to one (1) story in
height and shall not encroach upon the front yard setback or closer to the street than
the front face setback line. No accessory building shall be built within tenfive (+05) feet
of the side or rear property line.
Section 4. Methodology. For the purpose of this Ordinance, text that is
underlined in the preceding sections means new text added to the former Ordinance or
City Code Section, and text that is stricken through means text that is being deleted
from the former Ordinance or Code Section. Text that is moved from one location in
the former Ordinance to another is similarly shown as underlined text.
Section 5. Preservation of Prior Ordinance. The sections of the City Code
repealed by this Ordinance shall be preserved to the extent necessary to allow the
arrest, prosecution and punishment of any person who violates such provisions prior to
the effective date hereof.
Section 6. Severability. The sections and subsections of this Ordinance are
severable. The invalidity of any section or subsection shall not affect the validity of the
remaining sections or subsections.
Section 7. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage, execution and publication within the manner provided by law, and shall be
effective with respect to all customer accounts billed after the date the Ordinance
becomes effective.

rate fees; the following, monthly rates are hereby established for water service supplied by the City.

An ordinance vacating a portion of Rainbow Lane, a public street located across the frontage of Lot 4,
Block 5, according to the original plat of the Village of Iona, Bonneville County, Idaho, is not used or
needed for public purposes; the vacated property is conveyed back to the property owner. Effective July,

required side and rear setbacks for accessory buildings to 5 feet in R-A, R-1 and R-2 zones. Effective
August 19 2008.
City of Iona Ordinance 139-13 0
An ordinance entitled the annual appropriations ordinance for -the fiscal year beguming October 1, 2008,
appropriating the sum of $820,600 to defray expenses and liabilities, of the City of Iona for said fiscal
year, authorizing` a levy of a sufficient tax upon the taxable property and specifying the objects and
