HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 15-170Pzalutioxr a# 14� Poxtnzg4 of aunt d, N �- No. 15 -170 Date of COOPERATIVE COMMODITY RESALE SYSTEM ID NO.99019 -EBCPS TOWNSHIP OF EAST BRUNSWICK DELINEATING NEW PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11 -11(5) authorizes contracting units to establish and enter into a Cooperative Commodity Resale System Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Township of East Brunswick, hereafter referred to as the "Lead Agency" has offered voluntary participation in a Cooperative Commodity Resale System for the purchase of goods and services; and WHEREAS, East Brunswick serves as the Lead Agency and provides cooperative services for the following commodities: Gasoline, Diesel Fuel, Snow Removal Chemicals, Sand, Salt and Brine for the Roads and Roadway Construction Materials; and WHEREAS, the new Local Government Units that wish to purchase with the East Brunswick Lead Agency are: Old Bridge Township, Borough of Carteret and North Brunswick Township; and WHEREAS, the registration for East Brunswick's Lead Agency status was renewed in 2012 in accordance with the latest communication from the Department of Coramrmity Affairs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the Borough is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative Commodity Resale System Agreement as follows: 1. That the iviayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret hereby authorize participation in a Cooperative Commodity Resale System Program to be known as the East Br Cooperative Purchasing System — ID H 99019 -EBCPS with the Township of East Brunswick serving as Lead Agency. 2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into separate Cooperative Purchasing Agreements with the participating Governmental Units and said Governmental Units shall be deemed a single agreement in accordance with DCA rates and regulations. 3. That East Brunswick as the Lead Agency shall increase the cost of all commodities by .05% cost of providing said services and commodities for inventory and maintenance of equipment.
