SPECIAL SESSION

The Greencastle Common Council met in Special Session Thursday, August 10, 2000, 6:30 p.m.
at City Hall. Mayor Michael called the meeting to Order. On the Roll Call, the following were
found to be present: Councilor Roach, Councilor Hammer, Councilor Crampton, Councilor
Liechty and Councilor Rokicki.
CT Jones gave an overview of the procedures for budgets and stated the budget was advertised at
$4,596,555.00, max levy 1,896,939 with a tax rate of 81.99.
All budget were approved as presented with a stipulation on the Police Budget that the
Dispatcher salaries cannot be spent without prior approval of the Council. This was done due to
the fact the City and County are currently in negotiations regarding the merger of 911 and City
Dispatch. If this takes place the City would no longer be paying dispatchers.
Motion to adjourn made by Councilor Roach, seconded by Councilor Crampton. Vote was
unanimous.
