HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-10-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 10,2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., November 10, 2021, in the Council Chambers the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, and Matt Evans. Emily Palmer was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Young, Ordinance Violations Specialist; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Chris Taylor, Director of IT; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr.Evans moved to approve the minutes of November 4,2021,supported by Ms.Robinson.Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for November 10, 2021 in the amount of Sixty Six Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Nine Dollars and ninety-three cents ($66,779.93), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION REQUESTS BID OPENINGS BID AWARDS • AMBULANCE Recommend to award the bid to Crossroads Ambulance Sales & Service, LLC for a 2022 Demers Type III Emergency Medical Ambulance for the Fire Department. Board of Works Minutes November 10,2021 Not to exceed$164,005.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CONTRACTS • CONTRACT 148-2021 —INSIGHT PUBLIC SECTOR, INC. This contract (drawn up by Insight) is for an assessment of the City's Veeam (backup solution provider used by City) data protection solution to ensure maximum protection from intrusion. Request for Christopher Taylor to be authorized to sign for contract/Scope of Work on behalf of City. Cost is covered by Veeam Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT 149-2021 —CROWDSTRIKE This contract is the terms and conditions (drawn up by CrowdStrike) for the engagement of their software to protect the City from cyber-attack,ransomware,and malware. Request for Christopher Taylor to be authorized to sign contract on behalf of City. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT 150-2021 —CROWDSTRIKE This contract is for extended support (drawn up by CrowdStrike) for endpoint protection and anti-malware protection. Request for Christopher Taylor to be authorized to sign contract on behalf of City. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
