A RESOLUTION APPROVING DONATION TO MARCUS ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (MEDCO) FOR ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, The City of Marcus supports Economic Development in Marcus, Iowa;
WHEREAS, The City of Marcus supports Marcus Economic Development
Corporation for continued community growth;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of Marcus shall use
public funds in the interest of Economic Development (Iowa Code 15.A1(2)) for the benefit
of investment involving the creation of new jobs and income or the retention of existing
jobs and income that would otherwise be lost with a donation to Marcus Economic
Development Corporation (MEDCO) for $10,000 in the Fiscal Year of 2023.
Passed, adopted and approved this 12th day of September 2022.
