HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-18-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, NOVEMBER 18,2021 • The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., November 18, 2021, in the Council Chambers the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Greg Stiens, Director of Public Works and Engineering; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of November 10, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for November 19, 2021 in the amount of Two Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Eight Hundred Fifteen Dollars and seventy two cents ($294,815.72), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for November 19, 2021 in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Eight Dollars and fifty two cents ($750,668.52), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION -None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS—None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS Board of Works Minutes November 18,2021 • CONTRACT NO. 151-2021 — WHITEWATER VALLEY PRO BONO COMMISSION This is a Lease agreement for office space on the third floor of the Richmond Municipal Building. The agreement is good for five years with an option to renew for an additional term of two years under the same terms and conditions. Rental sum of one dollar will be paid per year. Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 153-2021 —LARKWOOD GREENE ENTERPRISES,LLC This is a purchase agreement for a 2022 Ford 150 Pick Truck for the Fire Department. Not to exceed$35,617.50 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS • CHANGE ORDER NO. 7 TO CONTRACT NO. 62-2020 — R-41306 — INDOT — WHITEWATER GORGE CONNECTOR PROJECT A slope stabilization grass mixture is needed to help keep the soils from eroding. Not to exceed $3,463.02 Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CHANGE ORDER NO. 8 TO CONTRACT NO. 62-2020—R-41306—INDOT— WHITEWATER GORGE CONNECTOR PROJECT The Whitewater Gorge Connector Trail has a retaining wall where an erosion control blanket is needed to hold the soils in place until the grass has time to germinate and establish a root system. Not to exceed $11,148.32 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 78-2020 —SPARTAN MOTORS Because of unforeseen changes during the building of the training facility a small door is needed to be installed on the right side of the Spartan EVR Star 1500 GPM Custom Pumper to allow accessibility to the foam system control valves.
