There is a window specification sheet in the file that indicates the windows were to be compliant with the current regulations for new windows. There is not an Inspection Report in the file. That indicates the protection for the windows (plywood cut to fit or working shutters) was not verified. We could do an inspection now or as part of the upcoming permit to verity that the windows at the site match the paperwork in the permit file and that the means of protection is onsite. Both the Phase 1 (1979) and the Phase 2 (1986) buildings were built post -FIRM so there is no need to compare the cost of the proposed construction to the value of the structures. However, Elevation Certificates will be required for each building prior to permitting. I have a 1995 Elevation Certificate for "South Building #2" that may satisfy the need for one of the buildings. If it is for one of the buildings that is going to be worked on I will need to do a site visit to verify the building has not been modified and the Certificate is still valid. A survey will be required for the proposed construction under the existing balconies. Depending upon the scope of work and our Site Plan regulations, that external work may need to be approved by City Council. Tybrisa Beach Resort finishes renovations Tybrisa Beach Resort on Tybee Island will host a ribbon - cutting and open house from 5 -7 p.m. April 22. The mayor and city council members will cut the ribbon to recognize completion of the resort's renovation and remodeling project. The resort embarked on a $1.25- million renovation and remodeling project in January 2010 that included interior upgrades to all villas; hard -wood flooring, fresh paint and new furnishings.
