A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE INTERIM
SERVICES OF THE CITY MANAGER AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a General Law City under California
law and is governed by an elected City Council; and
WHEREAS, the management of the day-to-day business of the City is the
responsibility of the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has selected a candidate for the position of
Interim City Manager to be in charge of the administrative affairs of the City
pursuant to Chapter 2, section 2.2 the City of Lynwood Municipal Code,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND
DECLARE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the
attached AT-WILL INTERIM CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT on
behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The Interim City Manager is authorized and directed to
commence performance of the duties of the position on August 21, 2013.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution is to be given effect upon its adoption by
the City Council of the City of Lynwood.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 2013.
