THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 11, 2001
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.
Thursday, January 11, 2001, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building.
Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger, and Assistant
City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Henry moved to approve minutes for December 21, 28, 2000 and January 4,
2001, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Metzger
abstained on his vote for December 21st as he was not present at that meeting.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Henry made a motion to approve claims in the amount of $572,403.85, second
by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. Goodwin read a letter from the Office of Congressman Mike Pence
requesting the use of the City of Richmond Council Chambers for a
mock swearing-in ceremony followed by a short town hall meeting, on
Friday, January 12, 2001 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Metzger moved to
approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
AGREEMENT
A. City Engineer, Bob Wiwi, explained an agreement between
Frickenscher America and the city for a Detention Pond on Lot 7 in
Midwest Industrial Park. Rabe said he reviewed the agreement and
recommended approval for Goodwin to sign on behalf of the Board.
Henry moved to approve, as stated by Rabe, second by Goodwin and
the motion was carried on a voice vote. Metzger abstained because of
his law firm's participation.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed,
and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
