THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 22, 2000
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 3
p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2000, in the Community Room in the Municipal
Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Bruce Metzger, present. The
following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Metzger moved to approve the minutes for November 16, 2000, second by
Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
There were no claims for payment.
REQUESTS
A. Goodwin read a request for a Curb Cut at 1693 Williamsburg Pike.
Metzger moved to approve, subject to conditions of Public Works and
Safety, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice
1 vote.
B. Lt. Paul Phillips of the Traffic Division, Richmond City Police
Department reported that First Bank had petitioned the State to
reserve six parking spaces on North 9th Street, at their construction
site, for approximately 9 months to a year. He said this would provide
spaces for construction vehicles to park and prevent damage to
automobiles trying to park there.
C. Fire Chief Mike Allen asked that the board approve the promotion of
Benjamin Moore from probationary to firefighter first class. Metzger
moved to approve, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on
a voice vote.
KEYSER LANE CULVERT REPLACEMENT
A. City Engineer, Bob Wiwi, reported that the board last week received
one quote and it was from Delucio and Son in the amount of $32,450.
He said the quote is over the engineers' estimate and recommended
that the project not be awarded at this time and be re-bid at a later
date. Metzger moved to reject the bid, second by Goodwin and the
-11 motion was carried on a voice vote.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed,
and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
