HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-19-2000 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, OCTOBER 19, 2000 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2000, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Bruce Metzger, Robin Henry and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES Metzger moved to approve the minutes for October 12, 2000, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Claims for payment were presented in the amount of $1,306,427.28. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. OLD BUSINESS A. Project Manager Michael Whiting of Mustin Builders came forward to discuss the east/west alley between North "A" and "B" Streets, Social Security Project. Amended prints were presented for approval. Mustin explained that the only solution was to make the alley two-way traffic. Both Social Security and C &W Auto Sales have agreed to the change. Metzger moved to approve the plans and the dedication, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. REQUESTS A. Goodwin on behalf of Sandie Rowe, asked for permission to hold a Jr. Queen and Jr. King Pageant on the 2nd floor of the City Building on Sunday November 5th from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Henry moved to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Board of Works Minutes Con'td October 19, 2000 Page 2 AGREEMENT A. Rabe presented an agreement between the City of Richmond and Conseco Consultants, for Health Insurance, to be signed by the board. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
