THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 21, 2000
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5
p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2000, in the Community Room in the Municipal
Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided with Bruce Metzger, Robin Henry
and Assistant City Attorney Steve Rabe present. The following business was
conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Metzger moved to approve the minutes for September 14, 2000, second by
Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
There were no claims for payment.
CHANGE ORDER
A. Bob Wiwi asked for approval of Changer Order #1 for the I.U. East-Ivy •
Tech entrance. There was a reduction of $3,839.06 making the new
total $112,740.94. Henry moved for approval, second by Metzger and
the motion was carried on a voice vote.
BID OPENING
A. The following bids were opened for a Fire Truck: ARMS Inc. (Luverne)
$441,348, including optional equipment of $50,906.50, total
$492,254.50; Stoops Freightliner/American LaFrance $474,767;
Hoosier Fire & Safety Equipment (KME) $459,878, including optional
equipment of $48,200, total $508,078. and Midwest Fire & Safety
(Pierce) $439,525, including optional equipment of $41,330.22 and the
total of $480,855.22. Goodwin said bids would be reviewed and
awarded at a later date.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed,
and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
