THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA JUNE 1, 2000
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.
Thursday, June 1, 2000, in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson
Bob Goodwin presided with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger, and Assistant City Attorney
Steve Rabe present. The following business was conducted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Henry moved to approve the minutes of the May 25, 2000 meeting, second by Metzger
and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Claims in the amount of $123,239.29 were submitted for payment. Henry moved to
approve the claims second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
REQUESTS
A. Lt. Paul Phillips said the Traffic Safety of the Richmond Police Department
received a request for a"Noise Variance"for a Sock Hop to be held on June
16, 2000 from 8 to 12P.M. at Wellings Pontiac, 1420 East Main Street.
Another request was for the Main Street to be closed on June 17th for The
Richmond Rod Run Car Show. They also asked for 10th Street from North
"A"to South "A"to be closed. Phillips explained the crossings would be open
on Main Street. Traffic Safety Division had no objections and they
recommended approval. Metzger moved to approve both requests, second
by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and
carried on a unanimous voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
