A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING
MAP FOR CERTAIN PARCELS FROM URBAN
RESIDENTIAL(UR)DISTRICT TO GENERAL
COMMERICIAL(GC)DISTRICT
WHEREAS, The Zoning Map designates certain properties without common addresses on North G
Street(0 North G Street; State Parcel ID: 89-16-32-240-405.000-030; 89-16-32-240-
403.000-030; and 89-16-32-240-404.000-030, each legally described as follows, to
wit:
0 North G Street
(89-16-32-240-405.000-030): W 1/2 LOT 27 E S *TIF*
0 North G Street
(89-16-32-240-403.000-030): LOT 26&W 1/2 LOT 25 E S *TIE*
0 North G Street
(89-16-32-240-404.000-030): E 1/2 LOT 27 E S *TIE*
as Urban Residential(UR)District,as described on Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to change the zoning designations to a General Commercial (GC)
District in order to construct a new commercial billboard business.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation for the above-described properties are all changed to General
Commercial(GC)District.

Applicability
•
A Zoning Map Amendment, or a "rezone", allows applicants the opportunity to change the zoning of
property.The procedure for filing a Zoning Map Amendment with the Plan Commission is as follows:
1. Pre-application meeting with the Zoning Administrator(City Planner)
2. Submit an application 28 days before the next Plan Commission meeting,
1 Zoning Administrator will notify all interested parties oftho public hearing by a minimum of 10 days before the hearing.
4. Plan Commission public hearing
5. Common Council meeting(Approve or Deny)
A complete application contains the follow:

7. Site plan(to include but not limited to the following): :
a. All existing and proposed structure(s)
b. Elevation ofproposed construction,indicating the height of all structure(s)
