Present : Co -chairs Andrea Nevins and Sharon Tennstedt, Director Denise Rego , Laura Usher, Frank
Callahan , Steve Holmes, Lisa Donovan ( COA Programs Coordinator)
Guests : Jay Green, Penny Holeman
Absent : Marilyn Dearborn ( FOBE President ) , Honey Pivirotto ( Fin Com Liaison ) , Cindy Bingham ( SB Liaison )
Meeting called to order by Sharon Tennstedt at 1 : 00pm
Sharon read the Governor' s March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of The Open Meeting
Law and guidelines for remote participation . She stated that the meeting would be recorded .
Documents and exhibits : Governor' s Order, Agenda , Director' s Report, Remote Participation checklist,
Minutes of February 20, 2020, FY20- 21 Action Plan Implementation
Minutes of February 20, 2020 approved unanimously
Denise reported the resignation of Bob DeLoye from the Board and noted the , years of great service on
both the Board and to the Council . Bob will be missed .
She also introduced Jay Greene and Penny Holman as possible new members to the Board . Jay and Penny
each gave a synopsis of their work and qualifications . The Board approved their selection unanimously .
Denise will connect with Cindy Bingham and Donna Kalinick to have them appointed at the next Select
Board meeting .
DIRECTORS' REPORT:
- Regina has been directing COA calls remotely from home
COA checks on a list of seniors daily
Food provision continued thru the Pandemic and will end next Thursday ( see report )
Virtual Programs to be shown on Channel 18 are being worked on such as Bob Matterstocks
" Preparing Finances" and Funky Fitness is also being considered
FY 20- 21
- Sharon stated that we are now in FY 21 and that she will prepare items for print pending
feasibility during COVID 19 and Lisa ' s contacts within different groups and departments
- Lisa will put Power Emergency Preparedness in the Newsletter
Lisa will also add Instructions on How to Zoom for meetings
Andrea asked about Mental Health Issues as COA cannot promote meetings at this time .
Further discussions are needed — Who , How and When
- There were additional questions regarding Films, Housing and In Home Services
