Present : Co -chairs Andrea Nevins and Sharon Tennstedt, Director Denise Rego, Laura Usher, Frank
Callahan, Steve Holmes, Cindy Bingham ( SB Liaison ) , Honey Pivirotto ( Fin Com Liaison ) , Lisa Donovan
( COA Programs Coordinator) , Jay Greene, Penny Holman
Absent : Marilyn Dearborn ( FOBE President ) , Susan Broderick
Meeting called to order and Governors' Orders read by Andrea Nevins at 1 : 00pm
Documents and exhibits : Minutes for September and October, Agenda , Directors' Report, Resume of
Courtney Marie West, list of Commissions, Committees and Boards appointed by the Board of
Selectman
Minutes for September and October were accepted unanimously
DIRECTORS' REPORT :
Denise mentioned that the telephone open enrollment for Medicare has been going very
well with 65 appointments booked since October 15th and another 75 on the waiting list .
Brewster has two Outreach people ( Brenda and Debbie ) who handle the Shine program as
well as Outreach duties
Medical Transportations rides are continuing as needed
- Lower Cape TV access — We are collaborating with Orleans, Wellfleet and Eastham so that
they can view the programs that we have filmed
- A donation from Friends of Brewster Elders helped us make a more efficient system of
getting groceries to our Seniors without transportation
Meals on Wheels is still ongoing and although it is difficult to be able to offer our complete
program , a plan is being developed for a Drive Thru event at the Eddy School for the
holidays .
Action Plan FY21
Programs for November, December and January were reviewed for filming status, people to
conduct programs and other needs . These are continually being updated by Lisa . She
identified the programs already filmed and those being prepared
Additional Items :
Lisa talked about curbside Thanksgiving and curbside Christmas at the COA
- Andrea brought up the Drummer Boy Park walk way improvements
Jay Green will look into Grants for Park Funding
Laura Usher gave an update on the Housing Committees' progress
