RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE
MONITORING SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need to provide Industrial Waste Monitoring Services;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to NJ.SA 40A:l 1-5 (1) (a) et seq monitoring services are
an extraordinary unspecified service, exempt fi-om the requirements of competitive
bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of' the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the a contract with Garden State
Laboratories at a maximum cost not to exceedS12,056.00 billable as per attached
contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with NJ. SA. 40A:I l-5(1)(a) due to the specialized and unique
nature of the service
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be published in the
Home News Tribune on June 8, 1999.
