A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE
AND TRANSFER $40,000 OF UNAPPROPRIATED WATER FUNDS 'TO THE
HARRIET TUBMAN WAY WATER MAIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, in January 2013, the 6 inch water main line on Harriet
Tubman Way was disconnected at two locations, in anticipation of the
• construction of the City Hall Annex/Council Chamber Project. This disconnected
the irrigation system at City Hall and created a dead-end water main line; and
WHEREAS, to resume irrigation of the lawns at City Hall and eliminate
the dead-end main line, the existing 6 inch water main line needs to be
reconnected and repairs to the irrigation system need to be completed; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for these repairs is $40,000 and funds are
• available in the un-appropriated Water Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
City Manager of designee to make the following appropriation and transfer:

Unappropriated Water Fund Harriet Tubman Way Water Main
Project
$40,000 New Project
$40,000
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 2013.
