INDIANA.JUNE 27. 1996 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m.Thursday, June 27, 1996, 2 in the Municipal Building in said City. President Robert Goodwin presided with Robin Henry and City Attorney 3 Bob Bever in attendance.Absent was Bruce Metzger.The following business was had to-wit: 4 5 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF JUNE 20.1996 6 7 The minutes of the June 20, 1996 meeting were approved on a motion by President Goodwin and a second by 8 Henry and was carried on a unanimous voice vote. 9 10 President Goodwin explained that one bid had been received to seal the cracks and to stripe the parking lot at 11 South Sixth and A Streets which, he noted, is commonly referred to as the Elder Beerman parking lot but is, in 12 fact, owned by the City. Henry read the bid from Mullin Seal and Stripe which was for $2,616. President 13 Goodwin referred it to the engineering department, noting that it would be reviewed by Greg Stiens who was in 14 the audience. 15 16 CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT 17 18 Claims from the Controller's office were read by Henry who noted that they totaled $7,499.68 and $44,008.24. 19 She moved to approve the claims, second by President Goodwin and the motion was carried on a unanimous 20 voice vote. 21 22 CONTRACTS 23 24 A. Steins returned to the meeting after reviewing the bid and recommended the Board accept it,stating 25 that the company had been recommended by Milestone Contractors. Henry so moved, second by 26 President Goodwin and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice vote. 27 28 OTHER MATTERS 29 30 Noting that the next regular meeting of the Board will be July 4 which is a holiday, President Goodwin moved to 31 change it to 5 p.m.Wednesday,July 3,second by Henry and the motion was carried on a unanimous voice vote. 32 33 ADJOURNMENT 34 35 There being no further business, on a motion duly made seconded and passed and carried on a unanimous 36 voice vote,the meeting was adjourned. 37 38 39 40 41 Robert Goodwin, President 42 43 44 45 46 ATTEST: 47 Norma Schroeder, City Clerk 48 49 50 51 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 61 62 63 64 65
