A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN EXTENSION FOR THE FIXED-
ROUTE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MV
TRANSPORATION, INC. TO OCTOBER 31, 2013 AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE AGREEMENT MONTH TO MONTH BUT
NO LATER THAN JANUARY 31, 2014
WHEREAS, at the June 4, 2013 City Council Meeting, the Council
approved to extend the services agreement with MV Transportation, Inc. until •
September 8, 2013; and
• WHEREAS, additional time is needed to evaluate proposals, execute a
new service agreement and to transition to a new service agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
•
Section 1. That the City Council approves an extension to a services
agreement for the fixed-route transportation services with MV Transportation, Inc.
until October 31, 2013.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute an
extension to the services agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to extend
the agreement on a month-to-month basis at the end of the service extension,
but no later than January 31, 2014: ,.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
